We first discovered Beignet Fries at a local Cajun seafood restaurant in Dallas called Tasty Tails. The owner of the restaurant is from New Orleans, LA so she knows her Cajun food and everything is delicious. One of the desserts on their menu is Beignet Fries, which was intriguing to me as I’m used to the traditional square beignets. And while I love the traditional, I enjoy these more because they’re not as messy and are easier to eat without powdered sugar getting all over your black shirt or shorts!
As you know, Cafe du Monde is where beignets were invented and they sell a mix that is available in most main stream grocery stores. But, if you are unable to find their mix, you can always use the Bisquick mix recipe below. And don’t forget the delicious chocolate dipping sauce if you want to add more sweet to your treat!
