Biscuit Gravy is a classic staple breakfast dish in the Midwest and South. It’s one dish that I particularly look forward to having on a chilly fall or winter morning. A lot of places serve this gravy without sausage in it. However, I think that the small bites of sausage make this gravy amazing! While we all know that sausage gravy isn’t the healthiest dish in the world it is some of the best stick to your ribs comfort food out there! I highly recommend serving this gravy with biscuits, they are so simple to make!
My dad used to make this gravy when I was a kid and instead of serving it over biscuits, he served it over rice when he made fried pork chops or fried chickens. It is hands down one of my favorite dishes he ever made!
