Café Vermilionville was founded in 1981 and has been around as long as I can remember. Located near the Vermilion River in Lafayette, LA, this historic house serves some of the best food in the city. They use the freshest of ingredients and source their seafood and fish from the Gulf of Mexico.
In the Spring/Fall, they host a concert series in their courtyard each Wednesday from 6PM – 9PM. Reservations are required and there is a minimum $20 order per person. The event is to support local artists and they sell out quickly.
While their menu changes regularly, some of my favorite dishes include Turtle Soup, Steak Louis, and Fish Acadien.
