When people ask me about Eataly, the best way I can describe it is an Italian food lovers paradise and is as overwhelming and awesome as Ikea. Oscar Farinetti first opened in Torino in 2007 and it has since grown to over 35 locations all around the world. If you are lucky enough to live in a city that has an Eataly location then you know what I’m talking about. If you visit one of these cities you should get there as quickly as you can!
Our love affair with Eataly started on a trip to NYC several years ago and every time we’re back in the city, we make it a point to go there. Every location has a different assortment of restaurants from which to choose. Our favorite restaurant at the Flatiron location is Manzo, but all of the others are just as delicious.
The great thing about this place is that you can choose to dine at one of their many restaurants or buy some of the best Italian products available and take them home to create your own meal. Think olive oils, wine, fresh pasta, beef, seafood, sauces, bread, pizza, pastries, and gelato.
