I first got the idea of creating Filet Mignon Sliders after we dined at Morton’s Steakhouse when they were offering $1 Filet Mignon Sliders a few years ago. Of course, Morton’s serves some of the finest cuts of meat in the country and one of their most famous “bar bites” are these sliders.
They take tender cuts of filet mignon that are seasoned and cooked to perfection. they are sliced and placed on a sesame seed slider bun with a mayo/mustard/horseradish sauce. It’s one of my favorite finger foods and any time we serve them at our house, they are the first thing to go!
I love horseradish and I will personally add enough horseradish to this sauce to singe my nose hairs. But I know that most people probably don’t love it as much as I do, so I’ve listed it here as an optional ingredient to add to the mayonnaise/mustard mixture. If you like it…great! If you don’t, the sliders are just as good without it.
